Introduction to the Tafsir of Tabari. Translation from Arabic and Commentary. Part 2

This publication presents the second part of commented translation into Russian Introduction ( muqaddima ) to tafasir “Jami‘ al-bayan fī ta’wil al-Qur’an” [The Comprehensive Exposition interpretation Qur’an] by Muhammad ibn Jarir at-Tabari (839–923). It contains sections dedicated tafsir. The fi rst them enumerates three aspects wujūh Qur’an — (1) part, which only God knowns eschatological ayats; (2) whose is possible with support prophetic traditions ayats Law; and (3) might be understood everyone who knows language Qur’an. In two following sections, groups about admissibility inadmissibility exegesis are compared. On bases their analysis, theologian approves legitimacy last section lists “praiseworthy” “reprehensible” early commentators on Holy Scriptures Islam.
